DYNAMIC DYNAMO

A strong start has Rhode Island asking, "is Dynamo back?"

Woonsocket, RI - Team Dynamo has posted a strong beginning to the 2014 campaign, sitting at 3 wins 1 loss after just three weeks. In fact, this is Dynamo's strongest start to a season in four years, and has left a state - wide many curious if Dynamo has found the fountain of youth. Long gone were the years of undefeated seasons and running the clock half way through the second period ...

"Yup, we're like a fine wine baby," said Ryan Baynes, the veteran blue liner, who is coming around on  nearly two decades in the RIMSEHL.

Despite dropping their home opener to a largely improved Plante's Auto squad, Dynamo picked up where they left off in the regular season last year rattling off three straight, against league rival Woonsocket Rockets, the easily maligned Baboons, and a desperate Five Guys. The Boys in Blue have yet to face off against last years champion, the 2013 Fan Least Favorite, Bulldogs.

"We've made a number of changes this year, which I think have contributed to our success thus far," says newly anointed player / coach Shane Farrell. "Firstly, we re-signed rookie goaltender Andrew Lisi to a maximum contract. Lisi's been strong for us [at the end of last season] and we'll look to him down the stretch here. Secondly, we've got some new threads thanks to player personnel director Craig Houle. We tried out the new Thirds against the Baboons, and just like that we're undefeated in our Greys."

Dave Farrell, who has decided to hang up his dry erase board and marker and focus more on faceoffs, in typical fashion, doesn't necessarily agree with the Northern Rhode Island buzz surrounding Dynamo. "It's early in the season. Everyone just needs to relax. We haven't done anything yet. We're not 'back.' And the Greys ... Well, they don't pop as much as the Blues."

Team Dynamo takes to the ice again on Wednesday evening, to complete a home and home with Five Guys, a team that they just beat 12-4. "We don't expect the same thing at all. I can't believe you'd ask that type of question," defenseman Erik Noack snapped in the post game press conference last week.

Nearing the half way point, Team Dynamo will be looking to pick up their fourth win of the season on five contests. Team Dynamo has played from behind in all four games to date. Defenseman Erik Noack notched his first tally of the season in Dynamo's fourth game, setting a personal record for fastest goal to start a season. Doctor Sparrow also tallied one last week, largely due to a new stick he purchased at a majorly discounted price of $180.
