Dynamo Doozy

Woonsocket, RI - Week nine in the RISMEHL saw first place Team Dynamo take on the Ducks, and while the Dynamo came to play, the same cannot be said for their opponent.  

It all started before puck drop when it became known that the Ducks goalie withdrew from the contest for undisclosed reasons, and it snowballed from there. Dynamo got on the board early and often, taking a 5 - 0 lead into the first intermission. By midway through the second period, with the score sitting at 8 - 0, it became clear that none of the Ducks' eight skaters were interested in playing hockey. If their execution was poor, their effort was downright disgraceful. What's more, the Ducks had a respected goalie suit up on short notice and hung the poor netminder completely out to dry. Dynamo converted on multiple breakaways, out of a total of probably 10, and saw about half as many 2 on 0's. 

Team Dynamo stalwart James Merola turned in the shutout, with the final buzzer showing a score of 11 - 0. Not much to be gained by the Boys in Blue from last night's game other than a valuable 2 points in the standings.
