A Doctor in the House?
The Legend of George Sparrow
Mount Saint Charles, RI - George Sparrow was once a proud member of the storied Team Dynamo Franchise. An anchor at center, and a endless source of laughter, George faded into the good night after being a member of numerous Team Dynamo championship squads. Some say George travelled abroad to play in the European leagues, most likely to avoid the fanfare that accompanied such feats, and return to playing for the love of the game. Others felt that it was just George's decision to hang 'em up, simply because he knew it was the right time. Neither here nor there, the rumor mill was active over the weekend, with reports coming in that George may or may not be making a glorious come back.
Dynamo Team stalwart Shane Farrell was thrilled at the notion. "Yeah, I've had a few late night conversations with Georgey. They've been healthy talks. I don't want to speak for him, but I will speak for myself and say it'd be honor to have him back in Blue."
Many Dynamo critics recall all too vividly one particular night where George allegedly went 0 for 23 on faceoffs in a single game. While this statistic can neither be confirmed nor denied in whole, it certainly does throw gas on the fire of folklore surrounding George's rise to stardom and his subsequent, cryptic retirement.
One thing we do know is that somewhere along the way of his travels, George earned his doctorate. Dr. Sparrow, with his newly acquired title and degree, may just have a new game to bring the table, as well. George's return could be just what the doctor ordered, as Team Dynamo will be looking to avoid the all-too-typical Belisle Cup hangover that has plagued league champions in seasons past.
"Yeah baby, this is priceless."
Technically speaking, George was an alternate for Team Dynamo and any future service would be under a similar arrangement
